Rescue Beauty Lounge – Website with E-commerce and Much More
Medium Well has had worked with Rescue Beauty Lounge since 2008 on projects ranging from website development to marketing and consulting. This lifestyle website devoted to nail polish and those who love it has two main components, both of which were designed and built by Medium Well — an e-commerce site built in Miva Merchant and a content management system (CMS) built in WordPress.

The e-commerce component was designed with simplicity and economy in mind. Miva Merchant is an industry leading commercial e-commerce system that has a proved track record of performing under heavy loads – we’ve had as many at 9000 shoppers using the system all during the same 30 minutes and system held up beautifully. Load tolerance it’s not something you often think about when choosing an e-commerce platform, but your incredible relieved to have it when you need it.

The layout of the e-commerce site focuses on a 3 things:
- a homepage that can cleanly display new products and promotions
- a product page can beautifully display the nail polish colors
- a check simple and intuitive checkout process.
The content manage system (CMS), built in WordPress was initially conceived as a blog, but has recently evolved into also including an easy to update press gallery. Future sections could include a forum, member’s only section, member’s image gallery and member profile pages.
